Apply to run Creative Land Trust’s Alice Billing House site.

April 23, 2022

Creative Land Trust announces the opportunity to run studios at Alice Billing House in Stratford.

Following the recent announcement that Creative Land Trust has acquired Alice Billing House in the London Borough of Newham, we are pleased to begin the search for an organisation to run the new studios for artists and makers.

Through a phased renovation programme overseen by Creative Land Trust, the Grade II listed former fire station accommodation will be refurbished from an empty disused set of buildings into working studios and will be removed from the Buildings At Risk Register. Approximately 6,500 square feet of lettable space will be available to be rented as artist studios and there is potential for a publicly accessible space for events, exhibitions and a café.

A tender process will provide potential studio providers the opportunity to put forward proposals for running the site. Organisations who are based or have experience working locally in the borough of Newham are encouraged to apply. The phased refurbishment approach will see spaces available to rent in stages from 2022 to 2024 and the successful organisation will be able to input into the planning application. For more information, please email an Expression of Interest to applications@creativelandtrust.org by 11 May.

Alice Billings House is the second property to be added to Creative Land Trust’s portfolio. More details about our properties can be found here.
